EXPLANATION
NOTE:Mustafa Cambaz's friend told those moments
  • İsmet Morgül, a friend who witnessed the death of Mustafa Cambaz, told about the moments in which Cambaz had been shot. During an interview after the coup attempt was suppressed, Morgül said, “It was around 01.00 a.m. and bullets were flying over our heads. He came right across the street and was shouting at putschist soldiers under the tree, ‘What kind of soldiers are you? You are both opening fire on people and projecting real bullets. Do Turkish soldiers open fire against unarmed people, from who you received orders, whose soldiers are you?’ While he was bringing them to account like this, I saw that the bullet shot by sharp shooters hit Mustafa and he fell to the ground right there. Bullets were flying over us and Mustafa was lying on the ground. We could not take him to the hospital on time. He was shot in the chest and lost much blood. They took him under an operation at the Ümraniye State Hospital, but could not save him because of the great blood loss.”
