July 15 Coup Attempt Ahmet Özsoy

Ahmet Özsoy

Gülenist traitors made a move towards the TÜRKSAT campus located in Ankara, to stop the television broadcasts. However, Ahmet Özsoy who was on duty at TÜRKSAT, reversed the plots of the putschists. Ahmet played a key role in repelling the coup, and was martyred by the machine-gun of a traitor.

He closed the road to TÜRKSAT

Ahmet was 49 years old and was in charge of the TÜRKSAT facilities. He took his place in history during the malicious attempt. At around 01:55, Ahmet and his team went back to the facility and were then raked by the traitor’s machine guns, in front of the building. Ahmet was martyred with his friend Ali Karslı in the car.
