3 members of the Gülşen family, who set off from Kızılcahamam and kept watch in front of the Presidential Complex on the night of July 15th, were martyred in the bomb attack.
Lütfi Gülşen went into the streets on the night of the coup attempt upon the call of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He headed to Kızılcahamam with his cousins Hakan Gülşen and Mehmet Gülşen after getting the blessings from his family. He arrived at the Presidential Complex at 01:00 and kept watch at the Presidential Complex to prevent the invasion of FETÖ members.
Gülşen’s family, who kept watch until the morning, were pushed to the wall of Millet Mosque in Beştepe, after the bombing attack of putschists at 06:17. Lütfi Gülşen were buried in Kızılcahamam along with his cousins who he fell martyr with.
Lütfi, married and a father of 2, started a bee business after he retired from his civil servant job.
The name Martyr Lütfi Gülşen was given to an imam hatip high school in Meram, Konya.
