Samet worked at the Kazan Municipality Civil Works Department as a contract-based worker. He lost his mother at the age of three and his father at the age of 13. He was buried in Soğulcak Village next to his parents’ graves. His grandmother Refika Cantürk said, “My grandson used to say that he wanted to become a martyr in the military. And I would always say ‘Heaven forbid.’ My little one died for his country.”
