What's happening in China? - II

Upon the interest in the article I wrote in March, titled “What's happening in China?” I am going to open a subheading today to elaborate matters a little further. There is benefit in taking a look at the “increasing indebtedness” matter, which I underlined in the article in question and which we observe interests the world more than China. As you know, China's economy has been gradually slowing down for a while and as a matter of fact, with 6.7 percent growth in the first quarter of 2016, it saw the lowest growth in the last seven years. While other various macro indicators for this year give some pleasant and some unpleasant signals regarding the country, it is clear that there is an appearance that generally makes us ask, “Where are those old numbers?”
