It would have been easier in the past. You would choose either the East bloc or the West bloc, and your side would be clear. It is a bipolar world, as the name suggests. You would choose one of the two and become a “pole star.”
Since Turkey is a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) since 1952, it has chosen its side (the name “Atlantic bloc” comes from the expansion of the NATO abbreviation).
Minds are now confused. People are unable to decide where we stand, where we belong.
I will give you the simplest explanation and then you decide.
This is how the Eurasia and Atlantic blocs are known, but once you become a little involved, you understand that it is not as it seems. That is when you become quite confused.
Aren’t the U.S. and U.K actually historic allies? Not anymore. The U.K. started to flirt with China, causing the U.S. to boil with rage. The U.K.’s satellite has settled over Qatar (via Saudi Arabia’s mediation), and it even racketeered ($11 billion) already. As for the U.K., it fuels anti-Trump sentiments almost daily. It has also started to work closely with Turkey (perhaps relations between the two countries have never before been as bright, especially in the area of intelligence).
U.S. ties with Germany and France are also in a fallout. U.S. courts are constantly fining the institutions of both countries. The “U.S. deep state” (very cool words) wants the EU to collapse and the ground to crack open and swallow NATO, but it is not saying anything for now as it is busy with China. The U.S. has recently launched a new operation with Saudi Arabia, Israel and Egypt, which further escalated tensions. The U.K and France are furious, but they are not strong enough to stand up against the U.S. Poor things, they are trying to trip it over. This is the reason behind BBC announcing to the world that the U.S.’s new toy, the Democratic Union Party (PYD) is in cooperation with Daesh.
Through Iran and Syria in the Middle East, Russia has settled down in the Mediterranean. China is unhappy about this. But China has settled down in almost the entire world. It is consuming underground riches, energy, like a giant. Like the world, Russia is also unhappy with this.
On a different note, I am not even touching on all members being regimes that have no clue about notions such as human rights, democracy, public will, law, religious freedom, freedom of thought.
Now, whoever wants to join the Eurasia bloc may do so.
Some are trying to keep us within the Atlantic bloc, and some are trying to make us join the Eurasia bloc. I laugh at both.
The countries we call allies double-crossed us countless times. How quick are we to forget the things the Eurasia bloc did? They crushed our tomatoes, made our chickens useless. That’s how ruthless they are.
Turkey had to produce an alternative axis itself. This was what we actually dreamed of when setting off on the path. But we didn’t have enough strength. By the time we understood we didn’t have enough power, it already was too late. Do you understand now why we were beaten?
The situation is clear, now you decide which you will join.
