Where is the world headed to, where is the US headed to?

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been in China for two days to attend the inauguration ceremony of the “Belt and Road Forum,” which is taking place with the participation of 29 state leaders. The forum, which is being attended by 1,500 delegates from over 130 countries and 70 international organizations, is addressing Russia's proposal of the Eurasian Economic Union and Turkey's proposal of the Middle Corridor project. It is a large-scale initiative, which is also touching on the Silk Road project and aims for the new international transport and communication network. Within this initiative, nearly 60 countries will boost their cooperation on the ground, sea, air and rail routes and cyber areas, which will be supported by port and pipeline projects in the territory spanning China and Europe. Also, as part of this initiative, China is signing cooperation agreements with more than 40 countries and organizations and signing trade and economic cooperation agreements with more than 30 countries during the forum. Erdoğan is a supporter of this initiative and is an important player of this investment which is made in a world that is based on peace and that ensures mutual inter-societal interests.
