Turkey's first airshow to gather aviation industry

Airshow is expected to generate $40B in business volume by gathering leading players of global aerospace industry

Turkey is getting ready for its first airshow, which will be held in April next year in the Mediterranean resort province of Antalya.

Eurasia Airshow will be organized April 25-28, 2018 under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey. It will be the country’s first international commercial and military aviation event that will be held in every two years.

The four-day event will gather the leading companies of global aerospace industry.

It is expected to generate approximately $40 billion in business volume in the commercial and military aviation sector.

Turkey is carrying out an intense preparatory work for the event, which aims to be one of the essential airshows such as Dubai, Singapore, Farnborough and Paris airshows.

Eurasia Airshow is significant for Turkey's vision of being one of the major players in the international aviation sector.

The auspices of the Presidency are raising the importance and value of the airshow, Ferhat Yenibertiz, General Manager of the Eurasia Airshow told Anadolu Agency.

Yenibertiz noted that Eurasia Airshow will be the Turkey's one of the global brands in aviation sector like Turkish Airlines and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI, also known as TUSAS).

In Antalya International Airport, a total of 300,000 square meters showroom is separated by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority for the airshow, Yenibertiz said.

"We aim to host more than 400 companies, over 150 military and civil delegations and nearly 100,000 participants," he added.

Yenibertiz emphasized that the airshow will also provide a platform for know-how and networking in aviation sector with the participation of industry's decision makers, military and commercial aircraft producers, flag carriers, aircraft maintenance companies, military and civil delegations, as well as chief executive officers of at least 12 flag carriers.
