Violent clashes between the security forces and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have left 11 terrorists killed and 13 soldiers wounded in the Sur town of Diyarbakır province in southeastern Turkey.

The wounded soldiers were taken to Diyarbakır Military Hospital.

The clashes continue in some parts of the town as the curfew entered its 45th day.

In the 45-day period, 13 soldiers were martyred while 97 terrorists were killed in Sur, according to the military figures.

Turkey has been fighting against the PKK to rescue cities from militants by declaring curfews and launching operations in the region.

More than 200 members of the security forces were martyred and over 3,100 PKK terrorists were killed in 2015 alone.
