Forty suspects were arrested on Wednesday in 32 parallel operations targeting FETÖ members in Istanbul, as part of the ongoing investigation.
Warrants were issued for the arrest of 145 people suspected of being members of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), including military personnel and civilians in charge of members of the military.
Also among the suspects apprehended were users of the ByLock messaging app.
The arrests come as a direct result of the investigation launched by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Bureau of Organized Crime.
Upon receiving instructions from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Istanbul Anti-Terrorism Directorate squads conducted parallel operations aimed at capturing the suspects in 22 districts.
Forty people were taken into custody in raids on suspects' residences. Operations are ongoing.
