A touristic hot-air balloon has crashed in Turkey’s southern province of Cappadocia on Sunday, killing one of the passengers on board and injuring 20 others, according to preliminary reports.
The hot-air balloon, which was carrying tourists in the Nevşehir region of Cappadocia for a morning sight-seeing tour, plummeted upon hitting an electric pole, in the nearby town of Ortahisar shortly after take-off.
Ambulances rushed the injured to hospitals in the city center where they are currently receiving treatment.
