Violent clashes between security forces and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have intensified in the Sur town of Diyarbakır province with the contribution of the maroon berets.

A building with terrorists inside was pounded by the security forces in Hasırlı neighborhood of the Sur town. The building collapsed on them.

Also, four PKK terrorists were killed during the operations Tuesday. With the recent killing, the number of terrorists neutralized exceeded 105.

On Tuesday, the military declared that public order has been restored in another southeastern town, Silopi, where as many as 136 terrorists were killed during the operations.

"All barriers and ditches have been removed, terrorists have been neutralized, and peace has been restored," Su told reporters, adding that a total of 518 barriers and 270 ditches had been removed and 800 makeshift explosives defused in the town," said Governor Ali İhsan Su previously.

It was also announced that the military curfew in the town would be lifted between 5 am and 6 pm every day.

Turkey has been fighting against the PKK to rescue cities from militants by declaring curfews and launching operations in the region.

More than 200 members of the security forces were martyred and over 3,100 PKK terrorists were killed in 2015 alone.
