A curfew was imposed early Thursday morning in four neighborhoods in Mardin province's Nusaybin town as part of the operations, targeting the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK.

The governor's office said that the curfew was issued in Girmeli, Kayadibi, Tepeüstü and Eskihisar as of 5 a.m. until further notice.

“The curfew has been imposed to re-ensure public order, to prevent further crimes, to neutralize members of the terrorist organization, and to remove barricades and close trenches, dug by PKK terrorists, in order to block access to remote areas in the town," the statement said.
