The Daesh terror organization has entered the phase of collapse in 2017 after managing to control 36 percent of Syrian and 24 percent of Iraqi territories respectively between 2016 and 2017, as its members, whose numbers reached 100,000 at its climax, continue to flee its ranks.

Eighty percent of the terror organization’s members fled

A Daesh emir who goes by the name of Abu Marawi expressed his desire to escape the terror organization along with his family, in a telephone conversation with an unidentified person and asked for their help in this matter. He admitted that high-ranking Daesh terrorists who want to flee the terror group pay millions of dollars, and that terrorist organizations and intelligence agents in the region play an active role in the process.

According to the emir, 80 percent of Daesh leadership has collapsed due to the fact that a large number of its members had either fled or were killed.

In Iraq, the money goes to Hashd al-Shaabi, while in Syria it goes to PKK terrorists

The cost for fleeing Daesh in Syria depends on the rank the terrorist occupies in the terror organization’s echelon.

The process of breaking away from Daesh in Iraq is through the Peshmerga or the Hashd al-Shaabi militia, while in Syria, Daesh members escape through the escape route provided by PKK terrorists.

While Daesh terrorists, fleeing from northern Aleppo, pay astronomical sums of money to people affiliated with the Free Syrian Army (FSA) to be smuggled to Turkey through the southern city of Kilis.

The cost to flee is $500,000

According to the records obtained by Yeni Şafak, a person with ties to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) reached an agreement with a Daesh emir after striking a deal to pay $500,000 to be smuggled to the southern Turkish border city of Kilis. Half of the money would be paid upfront and the other half upon arrival at the Öncüpınar border gate through the help of a man named Abu Ali Sijjo, who mans the Syrian side of the border.

Counterfeit passports

Daesh terrorists wanting to flee the ranks of the terror organization first have to obtain counterfeit Syrian or Iraqi passports. Passports are being issued, under the names of the many Syrians and Iraqis who had died in the war, for large sums of money that are being paid by Daesh terrorists to the administrations in Damascus and Baghdad.

A number of Daesh fighters are even smuggled abroad after making stops in Damascus and Beirut.

They use the Baghdad- Erbil route

Daesh terrorists who fled the ranks of the group in Iraq are returning to their countries by using the Erbil- Baghdad route.

The majority of these terrorists who turned themselves in to Peshmerga fighters are of Saudi, Egyptian, Moroccan, Algerian and Emirati origins.

Terrorists of Arab origin usually pay $5,000 to $60,000 - $70,000 to be able to return to their countries of origin.

They turn themselves in to intelligence agents

Daesh terrorists of German, French and English origins, who are fighting in the regions of Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor and al-Tabka, are turning themselves to the PYD terror organization.

Following the latest attack against Raqqa, over 200 fleeing Western Daesh terrorists were harbored by the PYD.

A former Daesh Emir who is familiar with the subject said that Western Daesh terrorists heading to PKK-occupied regions are turning themselves in to their respective countries’ intelligence agents.

A number of high-ranking Daesh terrorists who are cooperating with the PYD are paying hefty prices through so-called aid foundations in order to return to their countries.
