Turkey's counter terror police units detained at least 34 people in raids against terror groups ISIL and PKK on Friday morning.

Turkey's police department launched pre-dawn raids at several addresses in Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Şanlıurfa and Adana provinces against the Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK, and the Islamic States of Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL, members.

In Istanbul, anti-terror units raided some pre-determined addresses in Başakşehir and Pendik districts, while they detained 3 people for their allegedly being linked with ISIL and having gone to the conflicted area in Syria.

During the search operation, police seized one blank firing gun, a short-barreled rifle, and many rounds of bullets, organizational documents and digital materials.

On the other hand, Adana counter terror police units launched simultaneous raids at 17 addresses and arrested ten PKK suspects while five pistols, two shotguns, a large number of ammunition and some organizational documents were also been captured.

About 350 police joined another raid against the PKK affiliated the Patriotic Revolutionary Youth Movement, or YDG/H, in İzmir and detained 13 people.

Three PKK suspects were detained from Şanlıurfa when police raided five addresses in the Suruç district of the southern border province.

In the capital Ankara, five PKK suspects were also detained on the same day.

The suspects were taken to the district's police headquarters for further investigations.
