Erdoğan to visit Russia in March, meet Putin

The meeting's agenda, along with the topics to be discussed by the two leaders, have yet to be disclosed by officials in either Turkey or Russia.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will make a formal visit to Russia on March 9- 10, according to reports.



Although the official trip was announced earlier this month, the date had not been disclosed until now.



Details of the visit are just beginning to emerge but President Erdoğan is expected to hold talks with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, as a part of his itinerary, according to unofficial reports.

'Erdoğan and Trump to meet before may'



Elsewhere, efforts are underway to arrange the first face-to-face meeting between Erdoğan and U.S. President Donald Trump. Turkish Presidential Spokesman İbrahim Kalın has expressed the importance of scheduling the meeting ahead of an upcoming NATO summit due to take place in May.
