At least five people were reportedly killed and 40 others were injured on Thursday, when two vehicles collided head-on in the southern province of Antalya.
The accident, which was on D 400 motorway near the Gazipaşa district, involved a truck and a bus, according to the police.
The bus, packed with hired workers, was travelling from the southeastern province of Batman, when it hit the truck coming in the opposite direction. The injured were transported to an Alanya hospital by ambulances.
A district authority personally investigated the scene of the accident. Among the victims were the drivers of the two vehicles.
The cause of the accident is under investigation
