Local villagers in eastern Turkey march against PKK terrorism

Hundreds of villagers in eastern Turkey condemned the outlawed PKK terrorists' violent actions, which made bridges unusable and blocked transportation in Hakkari

About 400 residents in Şemdinli district of Hakkari province rallied in the villages of Konur and Uğuraçan, and moved to the Mehendi area with 30 vehicles to condemn terrorism. Villagers, then, got out of the vehicles and walked to bridge of Mehendi which was demolished by PKK militants. Residents stated that militants interrupted transportation between the Şemdinli and Hakkari provinces by demolishing roads and bridges.



Villages also said that has been no electiricity in the region for 25 days and they were not allowed to use the agricultural lands and fields due to the terrorists' interventions. Also it is learned that PKK terrorists exploded the GSM network of the region to cut residents' communication.



Villagers acclaimed soldiers that came to Mehendi region and thanked them at the end of the protest.
