Two rocket propelled grenades (RPG) struck a fishing port area in a mountainous area, located on the Antalya-Kemer highway, reports said.

No casualty was reported after the attack, launched at around 10:30 a.m. on Friday.

One of the rockets, fired from the mountainous area, fell into a vacant field while another one struck a warehouse, belonging to a fishing company. At the time of the attack, an explosive was also thrown at an oil tanker travelling by the fishing port, but failed to strike it.

Emergency crews, ambulances, special operation forces and police rushed to the scene immediately after the attack. Special operation forces, backed by a military helicopter, launched an operation to seize the terrorists involved in the attack,

Antalya police chief Cemil Tonbul arrived at the scene and personally led the operation at the scene.

Police now suggest that terrorists have actually aimed to strike the oil tanker, which was travelling on the nearby highway after refueling at a nearby filling station, but the rocket missed its target, hitting the port area.
