The Executive Council Member of Kurdistan Workers' Party's (PKK) parent organization, the Kurdish Communities Union (KCK), Murat Karayılan, instructed the militants to demolish all houses, school and hospital buildings in Cizre and Silopi towns of Şırnak province where curfews were declared and operations conducted against the terrorists.

Karayılan's instruction was discovered through the leakage of walky-talkies conversations among PKK members.

The terrorist group is instructed to target the municipal buildings and cultural center buildings, according to the conversations revealed.

The conversations also revealed that PKK militants targeted hospitals with the aim at hindering the medical treatment process, used mosques as ammunition depots and opened fire on ambulances. The terrorists also attacked the hospital with rocket launchers and long-barreled weapons.

"We understand that the people of the region are supporting the state, instead of supporting us. Don't pity them anymore,” an anonymous terrorist said.

"Do not consider the patients in the hospital. Blow up the building immediately," another terrorist said in a separate dialogue.

"Open fire on an ambulance. This will create chaos," another terrorist said in a separate conversation revealed.

Security measures in eastern Turkey were ramped up to prevent any attacks targeting civilians in the regions where curfews were declared and operations conducted against the PKK.

Thousands flee their home

Thousands of people have left their homes because of the ongoing terror attacks in the region.

Residents of eastern Turkey cannot go to mosques and students cannot go to school due to the terror threat.

Because of the terror threat, only 20 percent of all students are able to attend school in some eastern towns of Turkey.

Attacks since early 1980s

The PKK is an armed militant group that has been carrying out terror attacks mostly in southeastern Turkey since early 1980s. Since then, more than 40,000 people have died.

In 2013, Turkish government launched the 'Peace Process' to end years of armed conflict with the PKK and build reforms regarding the constitution. However, the PKK ended the ceasefire on July 11.

The group is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, NATO, the US, and the EU.
