PKK terrorist organization killed a three-month-old baby and her grandfather in Turkey's southeastern Sirnak province Saturday.

The incident took place in the province's Cizre town. The baby named Miray Ince reportedly got shot when her aunt Rukiye Ince was holding her at their balcony.

When the family called an ambulance for help, it could not arrive at their house due to the barricades and ditches dug by the terrorists in the neighborhood.

Moreover, when the family tried to reach an ambulance, terrorists opened fire on Ince and the baby's grandfather, Ramazan Ince.

Eventually, the family was taken to a hospital by ambulance, but the grandfather and the baby could not survive by then.

A counter-terrorism operation has been continuing in the southeastern provinces of Diyarbakir, Sirnak and Mardin, with curfews declared to fight the terrorists nested in citizens' homes.

A curfew was imposed on Cizre and Silopi last Monday. Many citizens left the district before the curfew, which became the scene of clashes between security forces and PKK terrorists.

The PKK – considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU – resumed its armed campaign in late July.
