At least 10 people, affiliated with the outlawed Kurdistan People's party, or PKK, were detained in a pre-dawn raid in the slum areas in the southestern province of Adana, according to the province's police headquarter.
Officers stormed on scores of previously-plotted homes in the neighbourhood of Hurriyet and Barbaros in the city’s Seyhan district during the simultaneous raids,
backed by the police helicopters.
The operation targetted the PKK militants, who used stone, petrol bomb, skyrocket and gun to attack on security forces during the Thursday's illegal protests, which were held in the central province.
Riot police presence was increased at the entry of roads for security to prevent the suspects from escaping.
