Turkey's reputation on poor labor standards took another blow as another privately-run coal mine in northern Turkey collapsed due to an unknown reason.
The incident took place at the coal mine near Tarlaağzı village, 14 kilometres to Amasra town of Bartın province.
The initial reports said that three workers of Chinese origin have been trapped underground when the mine collapsed during the mining activities.
One of the miners, trapped inside, was found dead by the miners while another one was rescued after injuring on his body, according to officials.
Turkey's NTV news channel quoted Bartın governor Seyfettin Azizoğlu as saying one of the trapped miners has been rescued by a group of miners after being injured in the collapse.
The injured miner, 40, was hospitalized by the paramedics after receiving a provincial care on the site.
Search-and-rescue efforts have continued for third miner, still believed to remained inside the mine.
