Turkish Air Forces killed 17 PKK terrorists in airstrikes in southeastern Sirnak province within the last 24 hours, the military announced in an official statement on Thursday.
According to the Turkish General Staff, three terrorists were killed in the early hours of Thursday in the province’s northern Bestler-Dereler region.
Thirteen other PKK terrorists were killed in the same area Wednesday, the statement added.
More than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives since the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and the EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July 2015.
