Turkish community encourages foreign students to study in Turkey

An educational program of the Turkish Prime Ministry will compensate the airfare, tuition fee, monthly insurance premiums and accommodation fees of the students who come for an education in Turkey for first time

The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Relative Communities is preparing to launch an incentive program aiming at opening a path to education for the Foreign students who prefer studying in Turkey.



As a part of the program, the community under the Turkish Prime Ministry will compensate the airfare, tuition fee, monthly insurance premiums and accommodation fees of the students who come to Turkey for the first time.



The action taken by the community is against the lobby activities of the coupist Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ).



The program will be valid next year, for the 2017-2018 school year.



The students who will start their education under this program will be chosen in 2017.



The students will also be supported with a scholarship and 3-month-long Turkish language course if needed.



The program will also include informative panels, social and cultural courses, conferences.



According to the recent figures, there are more than 72,000 foreign students who are receiving education in Turkish universities.



The highest number of foreign students are from Azerbaijan, which is followed by Turkmenistan, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.
