The Interior Ministry has said that security forces had neutralized 70 terrorists across the country last week as part of ongoing, nationwide anti-terror operations, according to an official statement.
According to a statement from the Interior Ministry, the Gendarmerie Special Operations (JÖH), Gendarmerie Commandos Units and the Police Special Operations (PÖH) have all taken part in the ongoing anti-terror operations.
Both air and ground forces from the military provided cover for the 238 operations that were carried out last week, according to the statement.
Three-hundred-sixty-one suspects were apprehended, accused of harboring and assisting terrorist organizations, and 19 of them were formally arrested.
Of the 70 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists neutralized nationwide, 30 were killed in the ongoing operations, 35 were captured alive and five surrendered to authorities.
