Turkish Police reported Monday that a man argued with the owner of the teahouse in Kocaeli province of Turkey when he was asked to pay two Turkish liras -nearly 65 US cents- for a glass of tea, which is normally sold for half that price at most teahouses.

The man, who was ejected from the teahouse, returned minutes later and fired four gunshots into the establishment. A 73-year-old man, Celal Şar, was wounded in the attack while he was stting in the teahouse. He was hospitalized with a wound in his ear.

Police are still looking for the suspect.

Turkish tea is popular mainly throughout Turkey and the Turkish diaspora, as well as in Northern Cyprus and some Balkan countries.

Turkey has the highest per capita tea consumption in the World at 2.5 kg per person, followed by the United Kingdom with 2.1 kg per person.
