Two Turkish soldiers were martyred and two others were wounded in the town of Hani in the southeastern Turkish province of Diyarbakır, as explosives, planted by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) were detonated during the field search mission.

Two wounded soldiers were taken to the Diyarbakır Selahattin Eyyubi State Hospital.

In July 2015, PKK had resumed its attacks across Turkey; thousands of people had to leave their houses, as PKK has been targeting civilians, burning mosques, schools and hospitals and carrying out attacks on ambulances.

Turkey has been intensively fighting against PKK terrorists both through land and air operations in southeastern Turkey and Northern Iraq since July 2015. Since that date, more than 7,000 PKK terrorists were killed.

Turkey is fighting against some other terrorist groups such as the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) and Daesh along with PKK and its affiliated groups.
