At least two people were killed and another 10 injured in Karachi on Tuesday after police allegedly opened fire on a demonstration held to protest the planned partial privatization of Pakistan's national carrier, according to officials and eyewitnesses.Security forces also used teargas, rubber bullets and water cannons in a bid to disperse hundreds of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees marching toward Karachi's international airport on Tuesday.Footage broadcast on local television channels showed police and paramilitary troops hurling teargas canisters and firing into the air as panicked protesters ran for shelter amid billowing smoke.
