'Crocodile Arena' opens with Turkish President's kickoff

Timsah Arena (“Crocodile" Arena) has opened with a ceremony attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The stadium, with the capacity for 44,000 people, was opened with Erdoğan's symbolic kickoff, during which he addressed the crowd. "Dear people of Bursa, now you have a stadium as glorious as the city. Bursaspor football team is not an ordinary team. Only that kind of a stadium would be suitable for a champion team," President Erdoğan said. The stadium which became the new home of Bursaspor of the Turkish Super League, has 70 suites and 84 entrances. There are facilities for 207 handicapped spectators.
