Since July 2015, as many as 10,000 PKK terrorists have been killed or otherwise neutralized.

The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) has said that it conducted an airstrike on the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the Zap district of northern Iraq, neutralizing 15.

The operation was conducted on Tuesday from 5:45 a.m. to 7:35 a.m., according to the TAF.

On the same day, another airstrike was carried out in an operation conducted during an intelligence mission in Çukurca, a rural town in the southeastern Turkish province of Hakkari.

Several terrorist targets were hit in the districts of Para Tepe, Kumru Tepe and Çukur Tepe.

Intercepted radio communications between the terrorists revealed that there are an unknown number of casualties among them, according to the military sources.

The military said the airstrike was conducted following a tip they received and that the strike prevented the PKK terrorists from carrying out a planned attack.

'Turkey's fight against PKK, Daesh to continue'

Military sources recalled Turkey's determination to fight against the terrorist organizations, particularly PKK and Daesh, in Turkey, Syria and northern Iraq. The Turkish military also stated that it is currently conducting the Euphrates Shield operation in Syria amid high security measures to avoid any civilian casualties.

The remark followed false accusations that civilians are being killed in the Syrian operation.

Turkish forces have been conducting intensive operations, both by air and land, in southeastern Turkey and northern Iraq where PKK terrorists are based.

Since July 2015, as many as 10,000 PKK terrorists have been killed or otherwise neutralized.

Simultaneously, Turkey has been supporting Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters in northern Syria for the past 183 days in order to sweep terrorist elements from the area.
