The leader of the Daesh terrorist organization, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, is putting all his efforts toward not to losing control of Syria's al-Bab by marrying a resident of al-Bab and declaring all other terrorists to be his relatives.

With his recent move, Baghdadi aims to gain the support of the residents.

Accordingly, Baghdadi made new assignments and appointed his new relatives to strategic positions. One of his most important appointments is Tajikistan-origin former intelligence officer Colonel Omar.

Additionally, Northern Iraq-origin religious figure Abu Abdullah Kurdi was appointed as the head of what Daesh calls the 'Islamic court.'

Meanwhile, Turkish forces are pushing toward the center of al-Bab as a part of Operation Euphrates Shield, which began on August 24, 2016, to support Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters in their efforts to sweep terrorist elements from northern Syria. The operation is into its 147th day.

The operation in al-Bab is significant, as Aleppo, Idlib, Palmyra, Raqqa and Barada are the strategic points which could turn the tide of the Syrian Civil War.

The intersections that surround al-Bab makes the village strategically important.

Al-Bab, which translates as 'the door', can be considered as a 'door' that is on the route from Daesh-held Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa and the Turkish border.

Therefore, both Daesh and the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorist organizations place great importance on the strategic town.

Meanwhile, the Shaar neighborhood of Aleppo witnessed clashes between Iran-backed militias and Russian soldiers.

Previously, Russia was backing these militia to seize control of the Aleppan neighborhood.

It is estimated that more than 600,000 people have been killed in the Syrian Civil War, according to recent figures.
