Hezbollah commander Ali Ahmad Fayyad, known as Haj Alaa Bosnia, was discovered to have been killed during clashes in the southwestern countryside of Aleppo, Syria.

Media affiliated with Hezbollah has announced the death of the Hezbollah leader, along with a photo of Fayyad and Iranian Revolutionary Guard's Quds Force Commander General Qasem Soleimani said to have been taken in Syria in 2011.

Hezbollah, supporting the Assad regime, has been clashing with Daesh terrorists in the Hanasir region of Aleppo.

Hezbollah, which has been supporting the regime with a siege on Madaya town, has not declared an official death toll so far.

However, London-based Syrian Human Rights Watch estimates that more than 1,000 Hezbollah members have been killed since 2011.

Anti-Assad group March 14 Political Block criticized Hezbollah for its direct involvement in the Syrian civil war, saying that violence spilled over into Lebanon because of Hezbollah's activities.
