Yeni Şafak and TVNET Editor-In-Chief İbrahim Karagül evaluated the Saudi purge that remanded 38 people, including princes, ministers and businessmen, saying:

“There is a multinational attack targeting the region. ‘Moderate Islam’ was used against the national perception with the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ). We surpassed this argument. The people of Saudi Arabia must see what lies under the ‘moderate Islam’ statement. The greatest struggle of the moderate Islam debate will be within Saudi Arabia itself, and it has started. The biggest victim of these projects will be Saudi Arabia, not Iran.”

Israel delivered a list to FETÖ

“The incidents in Saudi Arabia have already begun to show their effects. Everyone who disturbs Israel was listed and handed to Israel. Had the Dec. 17-25 period been successful, those on the list would have been imprisoned. Israel gave the list to FETÖ,” he added.

FETÖ terrorists are led by U.S.-based Fetullah Gülen, who orchestrated Turkey's July 15 coup attempt and is the mastermind behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police and judiciary.

Saudi Arabian authorities arrested 38 high-profile figures on Saturday, including princes and current and former ministers on “anti-corruption” charges. Eleven princes, four current ministers and dozens of former ministers were among those who were detained.

“Saudi Arabia’s purge list was also prepared by Israeli intelligence. These events are not limited to the domestic dynamics of Saudi Arabia. The project to spark sect clashes failed, and a conflict between the Arab and Persian sides is being planned,” Karagül said.

The arrest orders in Saudi Arabia came from an anti-corruption committee just hours after the King Salman issued a Royal Decree to form the committee, which is headed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Prince Salman is known to sideline opponents and has taken steps to establish himself as undisputed.

Hezbollah may attack Israel before Israel attacks Hezbollah

“We live in the 'most dangerous' period since the Gulf War in the region. Israel could not destroy Hezbollah on its own and this caused damage to its image. Due to this loss, Israel will want to destroy Hezbollah by allying with the Arab world. Hezbollah may attack Israel before Israel attacks Hezbollah,” Karagül said.

“If Iran could, it would occupy Saudi Arabia and take over Mecca and Medina. They want to destroy the heart of Islam. They know that if Turkey rises, so will the region. If Turkey delays action in the region, it will be suicide,” he added.
