Within the framework of the Operation Euphrates Shield, the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) has purged more than 170 villages and towns of terrorist elements.

The Turkey-FSA alliance has advanced near al-Bab, after liberating Jawban Bayk (Al-Rai), Azaz, Mare and Dabiq, and FSA fighters are currently around 800 meters away from al-Bab.

However, Syrian regime forces from the south and PYD from the east have mobilized their forces against FSA. In this context, the PYD terrorists' approach to al-Bab continues and their distance from al-Bab is now 8 km, after Daesh left 17 villages to them without resistance, which is generally seen as revenge against FSA.

Second Front against PYD

Preparing an all-out attack on al-Bab from 3 different sides, the FSA fighters have formed another front due to increasing threats and disturbance from PYD.

In a string of villages near al-Bab, fierce clashes caused losses for both sides. The last move from PYD, which is trying to advance closer to al-Bab, was their attack on Arima village.

An extraordinary raise in PYD's arms shipment from Ayn-al Arab (Kobane) and Tal Abyad has become self-evident. Besides, PYD terrorists near al-Bab are reinforced with around 400 fighters from their camps in Tal Abyad and Manbij, where the US officers provide training for them and other camps in Qamishli and Ayn-al Arab.

They attacked with TOW

The PYD, which targeted 2 armored vehicles belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces with Tow rockets, maintained similar attacks on the following day. Yet, another Turkish tank was reportedly exposed to a PYD attack on Wednesday afternoon in the region.

US delivery of anti-aircraft gun

The Syrian opposition, giving information to Yeni Şafak about the latest developments, stated there are rumors on the U.S.' delivery of anti-aircraft guns to the terror organization, so that it can attack Turkish jet fighters and assault helicopters.

On the other hand, Colonel John Dorrian, an American military spokesperson, said on Nov. 17, Tuesday, that they are not backing Turkey in the Operation Euphrates Shield.
