Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Presidential special envoy on the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov stated that ministers of foreign affairs from Turkey, Russia and Iran will come together in a meeting to discuss the Syrian issue tomorrow on December 20.

In this context, Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, made a telephone conversation with his Turkish and Iranian counterparts, according to the deputy foreign minister's statement in the Russian state-run Tass News Agency.

Bogdanov said that the meeting has been planned for a long time between parties and the Syrian crisis should be discussed in a trilateral gathering.

"The parties of the issue should be convinced of sitting down at the negotiation table to agree on a stable ceasefire regime and find a solution for the humanitarian crisis. For this, our effort is based on a United Nations Security Council resolution," Bogdanov said.
