Speaking at the inauguration of the Turgut Ozal Boulevard connecting the city center to the Esenboga Airport, Erdogan said, “France has been trying to give advice to Turkey about the Article 301 of the Penal Code on one hand, and blocks freedom of expression on the other. It is totally incomprehensible.”

“Some groups call on people to boycott French-made products. Will it be really effective? Actually, we should be calm and take steps consciously. I want to remind those circles that our trade volume of 10 billion USD with France accounts for only 1.5 percent of France's total foreign trade volume,” he said.

“There are nearly 500 thousand Turks living in France. They should be as influential as Armenians,” he stressed.
