The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Boston Celtics 96-95 on Saturday in NBA to get their 15th win in the young season.

In the 2020/21 regular season edition of the historic rivalry, the reigning champions Lakers managed to weather a late run by the Celtics.

The Celtics missed the game-winning shot and the tip-in in the last second.

Anthony Davis scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the team. LeBron James scored 21 points, seven rebounds and seven assists to accompany Davis.

James hit four three-pointers and took over the 13th spot from J.R. Smith in the most three-point-made list in NBA history. He scored 1,934 three-pointers in his career.

Boston Celtics' young stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 58 points and 10 rebounds in the losing effort.

The Celtics now have 10 wins and eight losses, only good enough for the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference.

Lillard stuns Bulls with game-winner

Damian Lillard hit the game-winning three-pointer as the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Chicago Bulls 123-122.

Down by five points with 11 seconds to go, Lillard scored a three-pointer to cut the lead to two. Then Zach LaVine was trapped, and a jump-ball decision give the Blazers hope.

The Blazers won the jump-ball, with the ball immediately passed to Lillard, then he did the rest, hitting another game-winner in his career.
