Is Biden getting ready to call it quits?

Joe Biden’s approval rating, which basically denotes whether or not the incumbent president is seen as successful or not by the public, has slipped to a fresh low. In the presidential elections, not only is the future leader of the country elected, but its deputy, also known as the vice president. Hence, approval ratings are just as important for vice presidents. In this specific case, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris’ ratings are in far worse shape than Biden’s, treading on the 30 percent mark in the latest polls.

In the case of the demise of the incumbent president, the deputy will take their place. The same rings true if the president is impeached or throws in the towel. Kamala Harris, who comes from an African and Indian family, served as attorney general for the state of California. Harris, who was elected senator in the same state, became one of the Democratic Party’s presidential candidates for the 2020 elections. After she withdrew her candidacy, she threw her support behind Biden. He then chose Harris as his vice presidential nominee after his candidacy was finalized. Biden and Harris then moved on to scoop up their win in the 2020 elections together.

In America, vice presidents serve as chair at the Senate, however, their roles in Senate activities are significantly scarce. In the 100-member Senate, the Vice President will serve as a tie-breaker in the event of a deadlock, with the power to tip the balance. It’s not set in stone, but vice presidents are seen as future candidates for president. Remember, Joe Biden served as vice president during the Barack Obama era. It’s basically a stepping stone on the way to the presidency. The popular opinion is that Biden will not run again in 2024.

According to rumors making the rounds in the U.S. press, there are troubles in Biden and Harris’ paradise. Harris supporters apparently think that she is not being “adequately prepared or positioned, and instead is being sidelined” by Biden. The Democratic Party has all but given up on her on the basis that she’s doing a poor job. The resignations of Harris' senior advisor (and spokesperson) as well as her director of communications have generated a litany of scenarios. According to these schemes, which are based on the rumor that Biden won’t run in 2024, the Democratic Party has another female candidate in mind for president. The word through the grapevine is that this candidate is none other than the spouse of a  former president: Michelle Obama.

In the event of Biden’s resignation or demise, Harris being instated as president is being considered a right “pickle.” If Kamala sits in the presidential seat in this way, her path to the presidency will be significantly easier. Rumors abound that mainstream Democrats who are opposed to Harris will make a few well-picked moves on the chessboard. Accordingly, Biden will nominate Harris for a seat in the Supreme court, getting her to forfeit her role as vice president. As you know, judges of the supreme court serve for life. However, in the event that a member requests to retire or kicks the bucket, things change. The Left wing of the Democratic Party was calling for 83-year-old Stephen Breyer, one of the liberal (democratic) judges in the Supreme Court, to resign and be replaced by someone younger. Breyer, however, states that he is healthy and refuses to leave his post. If he could be convinced to retire, Biden will suggest a fresh candidate.

If Biden nominates Kamala Harris for the Supreme Court and she accepts, Michelle Obama could become vice president. Harris was America’s first female Black vice president, and if this scheme comes to pass, Michelle will be the second.

Theories are not just limited to Michelle Obama becoming vice president. Another is that Biden will resign before or after the 2022 midterm elections, and Michelle Obama will become president. The Democrats firmly believe that this role switch will give them an upper hand in the 2022 elections. In the November elections, the Democrats lost the Virginia State Governor's election. Losing this Democrat-run state has been ascertained as a bad sign for the upcoming elections. They believe that with Michele Obama first being elected as vice president, then as president this course could be altered. On the other hand, it will be ensured that Michelle Obama will enter the 2024 elections as the Democratic presidential candidate.

These scenarios could be nothing more than a flimsy rumor, but where there’s smoke fire is most likely to follow.
