Trump’s flirtation with the Democrats!
The Republican Party makes up the majority of the “
House of Representatives”
and the “
Senate”
in the U.S. However, Trump does not get along with
Paul Ryan
and
Mitch McConnel
, the leaders of the majorities of both houses. Trump could not keep his campaign promises, primarily
Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act)
, due to the losses in the Republican Party. The “
Nationalists
” who want to shift the traditional stance of the party towards a more radical ideology, on the other hand, blame McConnel and Ryan for opposing Trump’s agenda since the beginning.

Leading names from the “
Radical Left
” who brought Trump to power initially gained significant positions in the White House. However, most of the Nationalists, primarily
Steve Bannon
and
Sebastian Gorka
, were discharged and the remaining grew silent. The fact that Trump allowed extra troops to be sent to Afghanistan was a heavy defeat for the “Nationalists.” Even though Bannon who took the helm of “
Breitbart News
,” the media organ of the Radical Right, said he was still loyal to Trump and would continue to fight against his enemies, the situation does not look like that.

Building a wall at the Mexican border to stop illegal immigration flow was one of Trump’s popular promises. The wall was a significant part of the “
Make America Great Again
” campaign. Likewise, cancelling the “
DACA
” program which prevents 800,000 immigrants without documents, who were brought by their parents to the U.S. at a young age, from being deported was one of Trump’s promises.

Trump, who has been forced to take sudden turns due to the "Russian ties" investigation, announced last week that the "DACA" program was cancelled. The Nationalists were jubilated. It did not last long. Trump has agreed with
Nancy Pelosi
and
Chuck Schumer
, the minority leaders of the “House of Representatives” and the “Senate” on funding the government and raising the federal debt-ceiling limit for three months. But the Republican leaders in the Congress and the Secretary of the Treasury
Steven Mnuchin
wanted the debt-ceiling limit to be raised for a longer term. Trump’s flirtation with the Democrats surpassing Ryan and McConnel was like a cold shower for the central wing of the “Republican Party” and the Breibart-led radical Left Nationalists.

Trump met with Pelosi and Schumer for dinner on Wednesday. According to the information reflected in the press, parties reached an agreement about a more permanent and comprehensive regulation to replace the “DACA” program. It was understood from Trump’s tweets that a new regulation would be introduced in favor of the immigrants who were benefitting from DACA. The rumor that Trump had given up on the “
Mexican Wall
” in exchange for the deal that Trump made with the Democrat leaders spread. Even though the White House denies the rumors, the prevailing opinion thinks the rumors reflect the truth.

The decision about cancelling “DACA” was being protested by the immigrants. Now, parents, who became victims of the murders committed by some immigrants who benefitted from the DACA, are on the streets protesting. These protests have been widely covered in “Breibart News.” During Trump’s presidency campaign, millions of “
MAGA (Make America Great Again
” hats were sold. Even those most loyal to Trump have started burning “MAGA” hats.

Trump’s sudden turns are evaluated as political suicide by his primary supporters. Trump is heavily criticized by this faction. Ann Coulter, the author of “
In Trump We Trust
” stated that they might have picked the wrong president and even said: “
If we're not getting a wall, I'd prefer President Pence
.” Offending his loyal audiences and losing his most loyal knights on one hand and fighting against the big guns of his party on the other hand, Trump has his work cut out for him.
