Left, right, violence…

To write an article in a country that spews two-sided violence and cursing is a stringent job. Forget writing, we are in a period where even mental tranquility is hard when in one neighborhood is peaceful and in the next it is raining stones. The moment when choices are made in place of thinking is a sharp political stance, instead of taking what is true, false, right, wrong, lawful, and unlawful. Life in which political and social life is run by mutual perceptions, shortcut images, sharp fronts, meager symbols, deadly biases, the twists that follow this, rumors and allegations…

Only a weapon is missing between this…

And that comes out from time to time in the manner of a “statement”.

And that really does show up from time to time.

As it was alleged for a section of the children in the last occurrence, that in place of “the innocent kids that were forced into the protest“, the other side's youths' roles were changed. For example, when Charlie Hebdo was attacked, instead of being protesters produced by the conditions, the natural product of principles is left up to the terrorists. Or on the other side, the total opposite of this calculation is happening.

In any case, “protest, violence, life” does not come to the forefront, but “identity, justification, and benefit” does.

Our memory is short.

Just 35-40 years ago, in this country lived through violence that was a lot worse. Between 1978-80, in an environment of divided police, jurisdiction, teachers, youth, sects, almost 5,000 lives were taken from street murders and raids that were done to neighboring houses. The recent times went through large city incidents with sociological and political dispatches like in the Gazi Incidents.

The dead, the victims, the murderers all saw treatment based on what side they were on. It is worrying that we are still being surrounded by the mentality that is still affirming this.

The origin of this mentality chain that stretches from left to right is this:

For people who are leaning on the attitude of, for some class, for some culture, for some the feeling of historical victimhood, this is a reflex of political position that is squeezing all of the political life upon historical asymmetries and straight causations and political incidents into the oppressor-oppressed dilemma…

Just as we live through many examples in the application, discourse and commentary every month, every week, especially in the opposing section, “principles are oppressed against benefits”, “politics melt inside of the identity rights”, “order and lawful violence start to go hand in hand…”

On top of this, in the activist's left section, the borders between political stance and mentality become unclear with “violence-politics-justice”. What defines violence becomes identity and intention, rather than actions. Victim and murderer frequently change places in this picture. Just as the reactions from two days ago in the incidents in Çağlayan…

One of the critical points in the relationship between left-violence is the perception that the imprisonment of the left's social section's wants and of social flow. The perception shows a political and social struggle that is absolutely vital; this is because of the constant production of the other.

The middle point is this: Powerful pragmatism is a powerful inclination of violence whereas the just-unjust who gain strength from victimization, lawful-unlawful, right-wrong politics, action or identity definition are a powerful pragmatism…

Physical or symbolic violence…

Turkey has in no way calculated violence formed on its right or left.

After the courthouse murder the formality is kind of like this.

Note: There was a sentence like this in my writing yesterday: “DHKP-C has many faces that stretch from leftist to an Alevi politicization and from terror to vendor…” I was accused by the certain mindset instantly by showing the Alevis as a target with sectarianism and with making dangerous analysis. I would like to remind the engaged minds this. Everything has a radical side. The leftist, rightist, Islamist, Alevi, Sunni… The problem here is not identity, but it is politics. Separately I would like to say this; DHKP-C is an organization that resembles a hand grenade with its pin pulled out in a large city. The organization has dispatches of denominational, sociological, sectarian types and is based on a heavy myth. This organization has been identified by the government as absolute order and by the left as a sympathetic article. The first thing that this structure must do and the first precaution it must take is it must analyze it sociological, political, and economical dimensions.
