Communication is instigation's 'nemesis'…

Today is 12 September. Today can be a breaking point for AK Party and thus Turkey's political history…towards a positive outcome and, to some extent, towards a negative result.

Two important democratic incidents have coincided with this dramatic date. As it can be remembered, the first is the Constitution Referendum that was described as “It isn't enough, but Yes” which was actually a positive breaking point, the other is today… The September 12 AK Party Congress… It is as if it's trying to remove the bad memories of the coup that took Turkey 10 years backwards.

We believe it is a rather creative idea. Maybe one of the next congresses can be arranged to take place on December 17 or 25 …

The political science aspect of it is beyond our depth. When there is a great number of “know-it-alls” talking about the issue, if we start to analyze, too, it would be rather ridiculous… At least, on our behalf… Yet, if we avoid analyzing the aspect that we are experts in, meaning political communication, then we would be disrespecting both the reader and ourselves. I would like to note that I haven't been giving professional consultancy to any political party or person for a long time now.

While the crisis seeming to be overcoming Turkey is being experienced to an extent, I had explained in detail in my article on Thursday that; communication wasn't managed within the frame of awareness and strategic planning as it deserved.

Now the Prime Minister had once confirmed, with a meaningful 'coding' that his target was to go back to the “ 2001 spirit”, yet after that particular time neither himself or any other top AK Party official didn't touch upon their target to strengthen the foundations of their main concept. So what do you think about the communication of AK Party's management of the September 12 Congress?

Or is the frailty evident in crisis communication evident here too? When thinking about the answer to this question, why do I feel serious concern?

When looking for the answer for this question, it is rather hard to comprehend why the following points were permitted:

Why was Mr. Binali Yıldırım's name, the person who I believe has contributed the most to taking Turkey into the new age with information technology and transportation and who I personally admire and respect, suddenly brought to surface two days before the congress?

Why didn't anyone stand up and tone down the gossip generated in a quick and effective manner?

Binali Yıldırım, the President and AK Party's names being damaged in the perception dimension…

The spreading of the rubbish that the Prime Minister showed the CDAC list to the President but couldn't get it approved.

How can all this happen?

Ultimately, with less than 24 hours to go, Beşir Atalay announced that the party was going to Congress with a single candidate.

And, why was the malicious wind allowed to blow around the 11th President Abdullah Gül?

If you hold such an important place in the future of the country, and you plan to continue to do so, and you have shown the courage to go to Congress a month and a half before the elections, but still you have difficulty managing the communication of your congress, then you cannot prevent such rumor from roaming around.

Some may think that I am looking to guarantee myself a job in a newspaper (despite my age). I don't mind. But, Ibrahim Karagül's article, “This is the one thing we can't resist” that was published yesterday should be read a few times and kept for later… By who particularly? By the AK Party staff.

Below are some of the paragraphs from his article, of course with the permission of the author:

“... The Gezi Revolt was the first scenario.
The government was going to be ousted through street terrorism, the Prime Ministry was going to be invaded, the world was going to be given a picture like the Ukraine, with the prime minister ousted and eliminated. It didn't work. We resisted, the country resisted, the people resisted. They failed.

...
Second intervention: a coup attempt from the inside...
The second plot was activated with the Dec. 17 coup attempt.

This time, a structure that had made it all the way into the state's nervous system, a conservative circle, was used as an intelligence force. A coup was going to be carried out, much like the one in Egypt, the government was going to be ousted with independence courts re-established to hang the prime minister. Turkey was going to be brought to a state of obedience and delivered to its owner.

...
Turkey became the stage to one of the greatest betrayal operations in history.
We persevered again; the country resisted, the

people and government resisted. They (betrayers) failed.

...
The third attempt began with the elections. An amazing public operation was carried out. This time the media and capital were used. The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) was used to provoke Kurdish nationalism. That political mind was going to be distanced from politics. A certain amount of success was achieved. The AK Party couldn't come to power alone. Right afterward, political parties were also prevented from forming a coalition with the AK Party. However, there was a problem: They couldn't form a government among themselves either.

...
They partially achieved what they wanted with the elections, yet still couldn't achieve the result they wanted.

...
The fourth attempt was terror. Regardless of what it cost, this staff mentality had to be eliminated. The country would be brought to its knees through civil war and restructured. The aim was always the same; plans wouldn't end.

...
A never seen before alliance in the history of Turkey was formed.

...
This plot, too, will fail. The insight and resistance of this country would defeat this too. We are going to give some victims, but we will remain standing.

...
We can resist against all but one
… We resisted against Gezi. We resisted the Dec. 17 coup attempt and we will resist against terror. We are also going to resist against whatever follows. Our country is going to resist. Our nation is going to defeat the violence of those terrorist organizations, the brainlessness of these political figures and continue its centuries-old walk.

But resisting against instigation is not easy. When this is the state, it is not possible for us to resist against the small plans being carried out through instigation.

...
This time we might be their final weapons
. We always lost against instigation. We always lost against political ambitions. We lost our foresight.

Countries lost, leaders lost, people lost, parties/ religious sects lost.

Losing oneself in instigation is suicide. It is the strangling of us all.

The cost of a mistake is a century. It is the elimination of minds that will draw the direction of the century.

We, who resist against that which comes from the outside and the inside, fail to resist against what is within us. We are shooting ourselves with our little plans.

....
We might be the final plot. We might shoot ourselves in the final stage.

We might be the final weapon that they are going to use against us.

Take a look at the state of the countries around us. Let us look at why they lost what. Let us look at the internal showdowns, power battles of countries waiting their turn in front of the Mongols. Both past and present are filled with these examples.

Instigation will destroy the final fortress

...
This is the one thing we can't resist!”

Thank you İbrahim Karagül. I can probably add one thing to the above detections: The only thing that can prevent instigation is its nemesis, communication. Communication that is thorough and adequate… Transparent, sincere, active, planned, strategic, focused on its target and scientific (not improvised but professional) communication. Political communication, an example of success, which AK Party had presented to the world with its alliances during the 2001 spirit... Now that is the only thing that can kill instigation…
