It has been a year since the July 15 coup attempt and the nation‘s marvelous victory against the coup.
Preparations were made for the liquidation of Fetullah’s officers at the Supreme Military Council (YAŞ) meeting in August, 2016. Fetullah Gülen, who lives in the U.S., is protected by the U.S. and works for the U.S., was preparing to deal a final blow to Turkey before the YAŞ meeting in August.
Preparations were conducted through Adil Öksüz, one of Gülen’s right hands. Öksüz came to the Akıncı Base 12 times from Dec. 27, 2015 to July 15, 2016. He also traveled to the U.S. many times during this period. As July 15 approached, meetings were held in various secret locations in Ankara. The most important of these meetings was the Çukurambar meeting, which was attended by high-ranking soldiers of all forces. They decided to initiate the coup attempt at 03.00 a.m., July 16, 2016.
On Friday, July 15, a major came to the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) reported that a coup would be staged that night. He was also in charge of the coup attempt. However, he did not want to betray his country.
MİT, which receives hundreds of unfounded reports every day, was also cautious toward the major's report. After the inquiry, it was considered that the report in question should be evaluated. MİT Undersecretary Hakan Fidan came to the General Staff Headquarters and evaluated the report with Gen. Hulusi Akar. They were cautious about toward it. However, Akar ordered that there be no military flights that night and not to take out armored vehicles from the barracks. Fidan, who was still wary, thought President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who was in Marmaris, should be informed taking into consideration the precautions made. The President’s Chief Guard, Muhsin Köse, was contacted and asked if there had been adequate security measures, and the call ended when a positive answer was received.
On July 15, God's favor firstly manifested with the major’s declaration and secondly with the phone conversation with Muhsin Köse. Indeed, Akar’s right hand, his Fetullah aide, Lt. Col. Levent Türkkan, was witness to the conversation with Muhsin Köse, and thought that the coup was exposed. Thus, an earlier time was set for the coup attempt. Plans and preparations were disrupted and coup plotters’ knees knocked together. The public took to the streets, Parliament opened and resisted, and the President and the Prime Minister invited the public to the streets. The nation resisted heroically. Toward morning it was clear the coup attempt had failed.
The coup attempt was carried out at Ankara’s Akıncı Base at the helm of Fetullah civilians such as Adil Öksüz and Kemal Batmaz.
Regarding the July 15 coup attempt, the indictments of the Chief of General Staff and the Akıncı Base were very well prepared. Even those who take a look at just these two indictments will see that there aren’t any blind spots regarding the essence of July 15.
Apart from a number of details that do not concern the essence, the July 15 coup attempt has been completely illuminated in terms of its preparation, planning, goals, execution and administration.
It is obvious the July 15 coup attempt was not staged to satisfy Gülen's personal ambitions or to protect his terrorists who had infiltrated the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF). There are other powers using Gülen. Gülen has denied the coup since July 15 to eclipse his "incompetence,” to show that he is still useful and to protect his masters to avoid the unity of the top rings of the chain.
The fact that the coup remained an unsuccessful attempt disappointed and distressed not only Gülen, but also the U.S., who protects and utilizes him, and Europe, especially Germany.
As the first anniversary of July 15 nears, we see operations aimed at legitimizing and blearing the coup attempt have also increased. Fetullah’s fake keyboard heroes have started working again. Those who want to thank Gülen for positions in the country support these operations by using the same rhetoric and arguments as Gülen. They march with his supporters, with members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and the Revolutionary People's Liberation Party/Front (DHKP/C) from Ankara to Istanbul to protect them.
Everyone should comprehend that 249 people were martyred that night and there were millions of people who were disappointed because they could not become martyrs.
Like all our martyrs, July 15 martyrs are sacred to us. Our July 15 resistance is one of the most glorious epics in the history of Anatolia and is certainly sacred.
We will break the malicious hands of those who impinge our sacred values and will cut off the tongues of those who speak against them. You may be planning operations, but our grudge against you grows every day, and you must know this.
Threat? Yes, threatening! We are extremely threatening toward those who have their eye on our freedom and independency. We are constantly vigilant to do so much more than what we did on the night of July 15, should we have to.
The July 15 victory is not only the victory of some party members, but also of 80 million Turks and Kurds, Alawis and Sunnis, the rich and the poor, easterners and westerners, urbanites and villagers, even Palestinians and the oppressed Syrians. So, we will never forget it, and never let it be forgotten.
