Making a 9/11 out of January 7, and a Madımak out of Charlie Hebdo!

Without a doubt, 9/11 was a weighty incident that had wide effects. The US government had conducted a paradigm shift after 9/11 and changed their security policies. Actually, before moving on to the post-event stages of this tragic incident, it would be better to evaluate some developments prior to it.

Bush, who triumphed in the 2000 elections, had assigned the most well known names from the new conservatives. Those names were assigned to make decisions that would tear down the system. Cheney, Rumsfeld and others had underestimated the UN and regarded it as a useless place. The Bush government retreated from the International Criminal Court, which had been signed by the West, with the oppression of this squad. They refused the agreement of “Decreasing the Nuclear Tests”, which had been signed by 150 countries. They stated that they would no longer recognize the Kyoto Protocol.

Following that, they postponed their ongoing negotiations with North Korea related with the long-range missiles. Bush and his squad published a report under the name of “Renewing US’ Defense” within the scope of the New American Century Project. In order for this report to be real, a big incident was needed. That incident was 9/11.

When 9/11 happened, the US had taken unprecedented moves. Bush’s deputy, Dick Cheney, and Cheney’s legal advisor, David Addington came into play. Addington said, “A President, who acts as a Chief Commander, has no legal restraint under extraordinary situations”. Upon his return from Florida to Washington, Bush told Richard Clarke, the Chief of Counter Terrorism, “Check if this incident has any relation to Saddam”. Clarke replied, “He has no relation, it’s the work of Al Qaeda”. Rumsfeld interfered; “Prepare for an attack on Iraq” and given the order to the Pentagon.

Immediately the Bush government rushed the 362-page Patriotic Act. Only Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold objected to it. With this act, while the e-mails of the US citizens were tracked, their phones were also monitored. From that point on, everyone became suspects. Every Muslim was a threat for the US. Nearly 8,000 Muslims were taken into custody as soon as the act became implemented. Most of them had been arrested.

The Bush government was doing irrecoverable things. They didn’t listen to anyone. They had  invaded Afghanistan, then, Iraq. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. However, Bush and the UK Prime Minister of that period, Tony Blair, claimed that Saddam was developing chemical weapons. UN searched Baghdad tediously, and found nothing. New conservatives, who used 9/11 as an excuse, imprisoned the world to ten years with blood and tears.

Now some people are emerging and comparing the attack on Charlie Hebdo, which happened in Paris on January 7, with 9/11. Due to that 9/11, irrecoverable wounds had been opened between the Muslims and the West. Hostilities became even more widely spread. Bush and his squad, maybe by intentionally misdirecting the process, started a global war. It seems that some colonials in Europe and Turkey, don’t know what 9/11 means. If Charlie Hebdo is in fact another 9/11, then it means that France will be repeating the US’ mistakes. They will be changing their security policies, and introduce Muslims as a primary threat. They will monitor everyone’s phone and legitimize the illegal activities.

Hollande’s statements relieved us. He said, “This is an act of terror”, and called out to the public to remain calm. After 9/11, thousands of people lost their lives because of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). Do they want France to do the same thing? If a country, where 10 percent of the population is Muslim, starts to see their citizens as a threat; then, it’s too little too late. We should wait and see what policies France will follow domestically and internationally. Some old mentality- minded people inside are likening Charlie Hebdo to Turkey’s Madımak incident. When a Muslim is behind the incident, the culprit is certain in their eyes. It’s a disgrace. TBMM’s (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) Commission of Coup D’état Investigations stated that Madımak was actualized by the Special Warfare Department and proved it. It was a provocation conducted by a group within the government, in order to subject the Alevis and Sunnis to each other. Even a simple person can understand this. However, when one ponders on how to connect Charlie Hebdo to Madımak, and to AK Party from there, the jugglers, like the ones in our country, are revealed. They are warping the reality and blatantly lying.

The attack on Charlie Hebdo is a clear terrorist attempt. It should be reprimanded without any “but” or “however”. The name of killing innocent people is universal; terrorism. However, for the past two days, we even encountered people that say AK Party is behind this terrorist act, and numbskulls that ask the spokesperson of the US’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “When will you include Turkey in the list of countries that aid terror?”

People are acting clueless. Under these circumstances, it becomes inevitable for one to go nuts, warp and scatter things. You can neither make 9/11 out of January 7, nor Madımak out of Charlie Hebdo. As it happened in your foresights for the past two years, here you will be mistaken. However, since you are shameless, you will continue acting like nothing has happened.
