Refugee Muslims and begging the “infidel”

Fifty-five million people have been displaced from their homes at the present. According to some people, 250 thousand people are living in refugee camps and shacks. People are homeless and rootless. They don't have any kind of asylum. They don't have a smoking chimney, or a bowl of soup. They are walking in the corridors of an ambiguous future. They are given names like; asylum seeker, refugee and immigrant. Why would anyone leave their home, and abandon their hearth? They are looking for safety, welfare and tranquility. They are forced out of their homes. They are fleeing from conflict and war. They want to free themselves from the violence and fear that is surrounding them in the dark worlds of dictators and terrorism.

They risk everything for salvation and welfare. With heart-wrenching scenes, they disgrace the world. And the mother who struggles to hold her child above water so he doesn't drown. Lifeless bodies that wash ashore. The sounds of wailing finally sinking into the sea together with small boats. Stranded in the middle of the sea, hungry and thirsty for days. Those that witness the sickening side of a closed society in refugee camps. The deep and dark shadows of fear that fall onto the mafia, terrorists and soldiers on duty on the borders. This is the picture that depicts the state the refugees are living in.

The greatest refugee flows exist in Afghanistan, Syria, Myanmar and Iraq. And Africa... In other words, this is the disaster happening in the Islamic world. We should ask ourselves where this derives from and why. Masses are becoming refugees in the Islamic world. The Islamic society is becoming refugees. Our geography has procreated the refugee issue. This has two important reasons: The international imperialist hegemony and the localized politics. In short, the politics pursued by western countries in the Islamic world, and the politics that accompany this or oppose it. Let me concretize this. The local dictators that are braced up by Russia, France, England and the U.S. and the corruption, oppression and terror they force onto the Islamic World. And of course the terrorist groups that fight against these dictators... ISIS and many others... They have turned our geography into an unlivable place. Countries and actions that call people to war, uprising and slavery... They are the real responsible ones. For example, four years ago, there was no refugee problem in Syria. But today, more than half of Syrians are refugees. Muslims are dying, killing or are refugees. They don't have any other options. What kind of a tragedy is this?

The refugee issue in the Islamic World indicates an intellectual and political penury. It shows the inadequacy of the elites, politicians and actions. Their capacity to generate politics in order to resolve problems is falling through the floor. Fighting and war is a kind of politics, of course! Yet a war without rationality, which doesn't lead to any result, and only forces people out of their homes and turns their land into blood baths, is a calamity. This is what is experienced in the Islamic geographies. This is what creates the refugee issue. We should sit and think about the Muslims that are pushed into poverty, expelled from their lands and forced to asylum in “the lands of the infidels.” There is no sense in swearing at the West and panhandling saying, “Where is your humanity?” We should come to terms with our own entity, geography and politics. We should question why the Gulf countries refuse to share their wealth. We should ask why rich countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait do not open their doors to refugees. Why can't we construct justice and order in the Middle East? Why can't we go beyond the uprising and slavery dialects?

Muslim refugees are firstly the problem of Muslim societies. Bodies washing ashore, the poverty-stricken landing on the Greek islands and poverty turning up at Europe's doors can only be overcome with the solutions created by the Muslim society. Turkey is finding a solution within itself, and setting an example of willpower and humanity. The whole world has witnessed this. Once again, Anatolia is trying to bandage the wounds of the ummah (Islamic society). The state and government is assuming full responsibility. 2 million refugees and millions of dollars.... And above all, a political will and political leadership doing this faithfully. The West should now understand this: The Middle East cannot end its problems by going at it with hammer and tongs. Looting the wealth of the Islamic geographies and cooperating with dictators doesn't solve problems. Your hands have blood on them if you have supported such crimes. Poverty, unemployment, death and outcry are at Europe's door together with the refugees.
