The world is experiencing a great chaos with Israel at the center. There is no longer a boundary to be strained or an authority to be overcome. The genocide in Gaza has surpassed its 100th day. Israel, the terror state backed by the United States and the United Kingdom, has not taken a single step back from its atrocities.
Israel and the Western powers supporting it find themselves outside the existing world order they have built. The United Nations has lost its judgment, influence, and power. No one can claim otherwise. Expecting decisions to protect world peace and security from a UN that is helpless even against the decisions the Canary Lovers Association might make is now a declaration of helplessness.
In contrast, the historic event of Israel being tried for genocide in The Hague is now recorded. The trial has begun, two sessions have been held, and the Republic of South Africa, which initiated the case, is urging the International Court of Justice to urgently issue an interim measure to stop all Israeli military activities in Gaza. Even if such a decision is made, will Israel comply? Will it stop its attacks on Gaza? For 100 days, an understanding that continues the genocide, despite being seen as hated by its own people in the West and the East, is being judged in the eyes of all humanity. It seems that the evidence presented and the blatant crimes committed have no equivalent in Israel. Malcolm Shaw, a professor of international law at the University of Leicester, stated in his defense in court last Friday, "If Israel has violated any rules of conflict, this issue will be addressed by Israel's 'strong and independent legal system' at the appropriate time." What does this mean: Israel can only be judged by itself when the time comes! See how they consider themselves superior to the whole world, legal institutions, and states? European jurists express that even the trial is a great loss of prestige for Israel, that its international reputation is at risk, and that it will be isolated. But everyone sees that Israel has no such concerns.
However, there is also a perception created by the BBC and other Western media regarding this trial. The court in The Hague will also decide whether the case related to genocide allegations will be heard in substance. According to the BBC, "International Court of Justice can only be applied to once for allegations of Genocide or other charges against a state. If the International Court of Justice finds South Africa's evidence of genocide in Gaza 'insufficient,' Israel cannot be accused of genocide again." However, in the BBC news, it is trying to create public opinion by hiding the fact that a state can apply to another state once with the same evidence.
The BBC's news clearly states that Israel being found guilty would initiate a complex legal process: "If the International Court of Justice deems the evidence presented by South Africa sufficient and accepts the initiation of a genocide case, a long and complex legal process will begin."
Let us emphasize again that the BBC, which is a media partner of Israel's war crimes, the instigator of the hospital massacre, and the one who devalues 112 journalists killed in Gaza, is the same BBC trying to manipulate public opinion.
States opposing the Gaza genocide, demanding an end to the atrocities, are being suppressed. Look, yesterday they killed 12 of our soldiers. PKK, which America has nurtured and fed at our borders, is attacking our bases with the same weapons provided by America. They are stabbing us in the heart. This is an open war. America is attacking our country indirectly. They want to pull Türkiye into the ring of fire around it. Perhaps they are forcing the entire geography through Türkiye into the next stage of the genocide in Gaza. Obviously, they will scratch Türkiye's fault lines through terrorism. What we have experienced in the last three months is evident. As a society, there are issues we need to understand and be clear about. We must see the imperialists and guess their intentions. While institutions that rule the world collapse from within, guarantees and assurances are trampled upon; as a nation, we must stand tall and seek ways to build this awareness.
