Have you not understood with whom Turkey’s war is?

The more Turkey turns toward the terror corridor that wants to be established in the east of the Euphrates by the hand of the U.S., some groups in the country say, "but the Kurds."

We saw a similar incident during the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG)'s "independence referendum" in the recent past.

We explained as much as we could, but they act like they do not understand.

We are not talking about an issue related to the KRG or the Kurds in Syria.

Did not a multifold of more people than those who sought asylum in Turkey and Northern Iraq from northern Syria because of the Daesh problem leave their homes because of the Kurdistan Workers' Party's (PKK) Syrian affiliate, the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its armed People's Protection Units (YPG) militia?

We know that 300,000 Syrian Kurds alone took shelter on the Barzani side because of the PKK. Is it also not the PYD-YPG-PKK terrorist organization that occupied the homes and lands of the Kurds, Arabs and Turkmens who took shelter in Turkey because of the Daesh problem?

Is it not the PYD-YPG-PKK terrorist organization that exiled those who do not share the same views as them - regardless of their ethnic identity - and who are doing ethnic cleansing?

(I want to open a huge parenthesis here and make a reminder from Turkey. At a time when the PKK terrorist organization dug trenches, I want to remind you of the stories told by the Kurds who left their homes in Sur, Diyarbakır and Cizre, Şırnak. One family man had said, "We had no privacy nor peace left. Our door was opened. They said they would burn our house if we locked the doors. They drilled holes from one room to another so they could pass through one house to the other. While sleeping in our bedroom we would look and see people inside. They were using our bedroom to go into someone else’s house.")

The PYD/YPG, the Syrian extension of the PKK, which trampled over the privacy and property rights of the Kurds in Turkey, is also carrying out similar practices.

There is no uniform Kurdish population in Syria. The majority of the Kurds in Syria are living in big cities. Thus, the cities and towns of Arabs, Kurds, Yazidis and Turkmens in northern Syria have been invaded by the PYD/YPG-PKK terrorist organization. The U.S. general staff mind is in action to settle this occupation. This is what Turkey is objecting to.

This is what Turkey is reacting to. Because this formation is a threat against Syria's territorial integrity. This formation is threatening Turkey's perpetuity. Otherwise, Turkey has no problem and can have no problem with the Kurds of Syria.

This being the case, it is interesting that there are some in our midst who try to mislead whenever Turkey's military action aimed at the east of the Euphrates is in question, saying, "It is an operation targeting Kurds."

Was it not the U.S. that paved the way for Daesh to put us in a quagmire in al-Bab?

There is also a matter that I do not want to be overlooked.

We did not forget the trap that was set against us in al-Bab, the most important stage of the Euphrates Shield Operation that started in August 2016.

If you remember, back then, the U.S. had decided to conduct the operation in Raqqa, considered the capital of Daesh, with the PYD/YPG-PKK instead of Turkey, which had offered to do the operation together.

Toward the end of April 2016, the U.S. suddenly announced that it postponed the Raqqa operation to April-March.

Immediately after this postponement, 700 Daesh terrorists went from Raqqa to al-Bab and turned their guns toward Turkish troops.

The U.S. made way for Daesh to force Turkey to reach an agreement with the PYD/YPG-PKK and accept it as an interlocutor. It attempted to teach Turkey a lesson in al-Bab. But in vain. Turkey took matters into its own hands. It entered the center of al-Bab, which was believed impossible. We lost 71 martyrs in the Euphrates Shield operation, but became fixated on the terror corridor that is wanted to be established in northern Syria.

The explosives seized on our borders… Daesh and PKK are twins

While the "test shots" on the east of the Euphrates continue with the Fırtına howitzers, while the days our ground elements can enter "suddenly, one night" are near, we are face to face with something new. The Daesh and PKK threat targeting Turkey.

The issue of the existence of both Daesh and PKK terrorists preparing attacks with kilograms of explosives.

The U.S., which delivered Raqqa to the PYD/YPG-PKK terrorist organization, had used the Daesh elements there against Turkey and Turkish troops both in al-Bab and in Afrin during the Olive Branch operation.

The information revealed by both civil authorities and military spokespersons in Operation Olive Branch regarding the operation mentioned "the presence of PYD/YPG-PKK and Daesh terrorists in Afrin and its rural area."

The PKK and Daesh terrorists whose explosives were recently seized should be considered in light of this information.

Also, think about those who said, "Do not enter Afrin. What are we doing in Syria? Qandil has been emptied, don't go there," saying, "Military intervention on the east of the Euphrates is a local election investment" today.

Confusing the actual situation in northern Syria with Turkey's everyday political plans is inconsideration. Very much like daring to call the people, the martyrs, the veterans who resisted against the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) on the night of July 15, 2016, "invalid" at the Veteran Parliament with the excuse of criticizing the Justice and Development (AK) Party.

Do not exploit the country's matters for your own political interests, sirs.

You are sinking deeper and disgracing yourselves. Just like those who associate the terror corridor in the east of the Euphrates with the Kurds.
