Let's keep our memories of FETÖ alive

We might have a disease that makes us forget quickly. Therefore, we should have a look at the events we experienced before July 15. I should make a few reminders related to myself. And everyone who reads this article should try and remember their personal experiences.

The Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) did not refrain from infiltrating all institutions and still continues to do so.

The Selam-Tevhid plot was one of them. We were wiretapped through our operator during that period. If the Dec. 17 and Dec. 25 coup attempt was successful they would have ruined us.

While we thought that period had ended, we experienced the July 15 coup attempt. Eleven days before July 15, as a group of journalists, we faced another plot.

On July 4, the U.S.'s Independence Day, a FETÖ-affiliated judge created a scandal never before seen in the history of the Turkish Legal System.

The American slave, FETÖ judge from the 18th Criminal Court, now imprisoned, İlhan Karagöz, wrote a reasoned decision of 572 pages and submitted it to the National Judiciary Informatics System (UYAP).

He declared FETÖ leader Fethullah Gülen as Mahdi in his reasoned decision. He went as far as to saying that Jesus would come down to earth and pray behind Gülen.

Moreover, he went on to giving examples from Ibn Arabi and Abdul Qadir Jilani to prove that Gülen was the chosen Mahdi.

He spared a few journalists and I a few pages of the reasoned decision.

Apparently he was very upset with the interview I made with the Gercek Hayat magazine after a trustee was appointed to the Zaman newspaper!

I talked about the experiences I went through while working for Zaman in 1986-1987. He twisted every statement I made. He opened a parenthesis after every sentence and commented about it.

I was surprised...

However, I know they were extremely disturbed by the last articles I wrote on FETÖ's principles of faith, particularly on “immunity and innocence,” from the rebuttal written by Ali Ünal in the now shut down Zaman, personally stating my name.

I was also threatened for writing and saying that FETÖ directed pious Muslims into a twisted belief system.

But frankly speaking, I was not expecting to see my name on a reasoned decision written by a judge, in which Gülen was declared Mahdi.

Declaring Gülen Mahdi with a court order, Judge Karagöz, did not forget to insult President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. This is what he wrote at the end of the reasoned decision:

“It is expected that the Turkish General Staff authorities take this criminal complaint seriously, take action, arrest all aforementioned people and then take all steps necessary...”

Right after the coup, as soon as I heard about this reasoned decision, I asked an important source in Ankara what that would have done to us if the coup had been successful. He said, “Your reasoned decision was written 11 days before the coup attempt. They were going to execute you.”

Now, we overcame the July 15 coup attempt, yet there are claims that another attempt may be on its way.

So, it seems that they will keep on trying. They will not give up.

They will try every method possible to defeat the people of this nation they see as the enemy.

I believe that they are still using Turkish intelligence, police force and gendarmerie sources and General Staff intelligence.

I hope I am mistaken on this one
