Indeed, the image of a fatal organization was reinforced through the images of beheading, most of which appeared to be mise en scene later. The reason for the term monkey wrench was that Daesh entered a territory, which was meant to be occupied, first.

Because Daesh’s mastermind was international players who pretended to be struggling with it, but invaded our region again.

Speaking as the Republican candidate on Aug. 11, 2016, one of the most hectic days of election campaigns, Trump expressed that Obama and Clinton created Daesh, saying, “He is the founder of Daesh. And I would say the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton.”

Daesh conducted very bloody actions in Turkey especially in Obama’s last term in 2016. Fortunately, however, since Obama left the White House, Daesh has not conducted a significant mass attack.

The last one was the Reina attack at the beginning of new year. Since then, Daesh has lost its capacity of action in Turkey, or did not conduct one. In fact, as Trump said, Obama, the “founder” of Daesh, is no longer in office.

Even this indicator tells us something.

I would like to come to the point after adding one more thing.

When Trump won the elections in November 2016, John Bass, U.S. Ambassador to Ankara, was the first one of those who were disappointed.

I remember!

On the days when Trump would take office, Bass said they would help the elected president adapt to the system.

Bass was an ambassador assigned during the Obama era. And while he stayed in Ankara, he did a dozen of things that went beyond diplomatic practices. He is also the cause of the latest visa crisis.

I will tell you how he threatened Turkey at the last moment. I will not mention his secret meeting with CHP Leader Kılıçdaroğlu and his reference to the AK Party.

Bass referred to security in his last press conference, saying, “No terror attack has been occurring in Turkey for 9.5 months. This is not because Daesh gave up but this is the result of our cooperation.”

Indeed, while trying to tell the harmony between the two countries in counterterrorism, he both referred to the post-Obama era, saying, “No terror attack has been occurring in Turkey for nine-and-a-half months,” and directly admitted that they prevent Daesh’s actions, saying, “This is not because Daesh gave up but this is the result of our cooperation.”

Those joining Daesh from Turkey do not want to conduct mass attacks in Turkey

Now I would like to quote a few sentences from the very comprehensive Daesh report of the state. The following information, given by an influential figure in Turkey's security policies, is very important.

1-Forty percent of those who join Daesh from Turkey are Kurds.

2. The general motivation of Daesh terrorists, who have been arrested and jailed, is not to engage in mass attacks in Turkey.

3- Daesh still has a great capacity for attack in Turkey.

4- However, the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and the directorate of gendarmerie and security work very well.

5. The state is fighting relentlessly with all organizations, especially Daesh and the Kurdistan workers’ Party (PKK).

The reluctance of those who join the organization from Turkey to conduct mass attacks against innocent people in the country may cause the creators of Daesh to introduce other terror instruments.

Who can say that PKK terrorists who recently came to Köyceğiz through Latakia were not preparing to conduct Daesh-style actions?

However, let's not forget, with the introduction of UAVs and the re-update of the concept of low intensity conflict, the PKK’s acquisition of field domination has turned into an effort to survive by dividing into small groups consisting of three to five members.
