First of all, all the citizens are required to decide that the ones, who are different in a way, have the right to live the common life by sharing it together and by benefiting from the human rights together.
Secondly, the joint objections of the great mass, which “represents what it’s meant to be” to the ones who don’t accept this decision, and their standing together directed at disturbing the order against the others’ activities are becoming inevitable.
On one hand, the formation of this common willpower and decision, and, on the other hand, the actualization of the following clauses in order to implement the decision seems indispensable to us;
1- The cultivation of living together by tolerating discrepancy
2- The vigilance/consciousness of not falling into foreign traps and provocations
3- Deterrent and inhibiting legislation
4- The strengthening of the executive hand
Let’s explain these clauses;
1. It means that as long as the ones (of this mentality), who are saying, “In this country only what we say should happen and the other should either leave the country or to live liable to us”, are present, then peace and security are in danger. The remedy: Starting from childhood, within the frame of human rights and liberties, the right to be different and the right for holding different values for equal protection and respect should be placed in people’s minds, and, this mentality’s application should also be dominant in the social world.
2. As long as an order, where the humanly, fair and universal values are dominant, is not established in the world, cruelty, the weak’s oppression and exploitation by the strong, and, the violation of ethical and judicial values for the sake of national benefits will be present.
The ones, who want to dominate a country unfairly or exploit it, by also using their collaborators/subcontractors, will use all their options to turn the discrepancies –which are actually natural and a wealth- into a matter of hostility and hatred. Before you know it, the people, who had lived together in unity for centuries within these discrepancies, turned against each other and opened war against their friends. In order to avoid falling into this trap, the opinion leaders are required to do their precaution duties continuously.
3. Despite everything, there would be some, who want to remove peace, unity, togetherness and security of life and property; for them a disincentive before attempts and inhibiter regulation in process of attempt. If no attempt of this essence is made, then it means that the door is open for the human devils to swarm and easily implement their malevolence.
4. Finally, the regulation doesn’t function on its own, the execution, which will implement it, should be equipped with sufficient authority, this is another necessity. This authority is required to be at a scale enough to actualize these two objectives; 1. To prevent all the peace and trust breaking actions. 2. To be able to catch the criminals at a minimum damage level and hand them over to justice.
The rulership, which has been handed the authority to administer the country, has presented the “Homeland Security Package” to the parliament since they regard it as being indispensable in order to provide the peace and security of the citizens. While having the right to object to some clauses of the package accordingly and to use the right to propose a clause of their preference, to object to it completely and carrying on the street demonstrations, which had been done in order to prevent this package from becoming a law, cannot be reconciled with good intentions.
We know that many insincere excuses had been used; trees and the environment during Gezi incidents, reactionism in some coup d’états and corruption for December 15th and 27th. Now, human rights and liberties are being exploited.
As a nation, we are witnessing the freedom demand as being only for anarchists, terrorists, peace and security enemies, and objection to the limitation of existing freedom directed at them is being laid in front of us blatantly.
